Crestron® Air® 8" Bronze In-Ground Subwoofer

<p>Hides beneath the ground to deliver extended bass response for outdoor speaker systems.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Get the full impact of your music outdoors with rich, deep bass provided by the Crestron® AIR® IGS82T In-Ground Subwoofer. Its compact, watertight enclosure installs beneath the ground’s surface, affording a virtually hidden appearance with just the port tube visible. The port tube protrudes approximately 7 to 11 inches from the ground and is topped with an attractive dark bronze-colored dome-shaped cap, affording a subdued appearance that matches Crestron AIR LS4T and LS6T Landscape Speakers.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>The AIR IGS82T is a passive in-ground subwoofer, employing dual 8” woofers for tight, controlled bass. Power handling is 200 Watts (program) at 8 Ohms, with a frequency response of 38 Hz to 150 Hz (±3 dB) and usable low-end range down to 25 Hz. Its built-in 150 Hz low-pass filter allows the AIR IGS82T to be driven by a full range power amplifier without requiring a separate external crossover.<br><br>Using its internal transformer, the AIR IGS82T may be operated at 70 or 100 Volts, allowing multiple subwoofers to be connected in parallel and driven by a single high-powered 70 or 100 Volt power amplifier. Running at 70 or 100 Volts allows for longer wire runs using lower gauge wire than is required by an 8 Ohm speaker.<br><br>The AIR IGS82T includes a short length of direct-burial wire that is permanently attached to the speaker enclosure. A suitable in-ground electrical box (not included) is advised for termination of the speaker and transformer wiring.
