A stereo width control feature allows the stereo soundstage to be optimized irrespective of the loudspeaker positions, increasing soundstage width when the speakers are located close together, and optimizing it for best envelopment and imaging when more ideally placed.
Two 3.5mm mini-jack inputs are also included which offer both analogue line level and optical digital interfaces.
User Features
Offers a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack headphone output allowing loudspeakers to be turned off.
Compatibility with Meridian’s i80 Dock means you can play your iPod via Meridian DSP speakers while it charges, controlling what you hear via front panel or remote.
Intelligent front-panel controls feature smart buttons and rotary control knob and auto-dimming OLED display or can be controlled with IR remote (supplied).
The advanced OLED display adjusts to suit ambient light levels – or you can turn it off completely.
Technologies
Audio Processing
Analogue inputs are converted to digital at 96kHz and all input signals are processed with Meridian’s exclusive ‘apodising’ filter that ensures maximum audio quality and can even ‘clean up’ poorer quality recordings. Digital inputs accept signals up to 96kHz, including the SpeakerLink input which allows the replay of high resolution files from a Meridian Sooloos Digital Media System.
Loudspeaker Control
The AC200 communicates fully with Meridian DSP Loudspeakers, providing access to optimization control features of the loudspeakers from its front panel.
Additional Enhancement Technologies
FIFO buffering and MHR (Meridian High Resolution) are employed to get the very best performance from all digital sources.
Stereo Width And Eba Control
The stereo width control allows the stereo soundstage width to be increased when the speakers are located close together, and optimised for best envelopment and imaging when more ideally placed.* Meridian’s advanced EBA (Enhanced Bass Alignment) technology ensures that all the frequencies in the music arrive with the correct timing, for a sound that is clearer and more authentic – more ‘alive’.
